Bárbara N. Giménez is an Argentine-Swiss writer born in Buenos Aires in 1983 and raised in Paraguay. She studied Communication Sciences in Paraguay and, after working in the media, moved to Switzerland in 2007, where she studied Hispanic Philology and Sociology at the University of Basel.
She published her first short story in 2000. In 2023 she released the young-adult book El Cuaderno de Zoe under the pen name Sophie Russo, followed in 2024 by a second edition under her own name. That same year she published the micro-theatre piece La Aldea Milagrosa. Her work explores the borders between the everyday, the fantastic and the absurd.
